Each year, Pantone selects a Color of the Year to encourage conversations around the relationship between color and designers, brands and consumers. For 2024, which marks the 25th year the program has been active, Pantone selected a tone called Peach Fuzz, also known as Pantone 13-1023.
Polaroid similarly seeks to celebrate human connection and of course, document colorful moments, making for a fitting collector to Pantone.
The two companies have joined forces for a limited edition pack of film with the distinct velvety peach shade replacing the typical white border.
Each pack of film contains 8 photos of i-Type color film. The film is compatible with Polaroid Now+, Now and I-2 cameras, as well as its Lab Printer.
“Appreciating both the good and the challenging moments is what makes life real and worth living,” Polaroid Chairman, Oskar Smolokowski said. “We hope that our new film will inspire creators to highlight these moments and rejoice human connections.”
The Polaroid Pantone Color of the Year 2024 Edition will launch in January for $19.99 USD per pack on Polaroid’s website.
