PICANTE Steps Into the World of Knitwear

Jude Taylor and Saam Zonoozi‘s London-based imprint PICANTE has the secret sauce to success. Following up on its everyday essentials with a collaboration that honored the Persian cuisine served up at Berenjak and a new Fall/Winter 2022 collection centered around logos and nostalgia, the duo has worked tirelessly to put its stamp on the saturated market we call fashion. Today, PICANTE announces its latest effort, delving into luxurious knitwear for the first time.

Dubbed the FORGE KNIT SWEATER, the piece comes in PICANTE’s signature shade of bold blue, as well as a winter-ready cream tone and a timeless shade of black. Regardless of the colorway you choose, PICANTE offers up a wardrobe must-have crafted from cotton, because “no one’s got time for shrinkage.” Taking to its Instagram, the brand explained that it “wanted a product that was a lot more resilient and could easily be washed and cared for,” adding “The ‘P’ graphic is a super soft boucle wool which adds some great texture.”

Cut with a loose-bottom hem to allow the garment to fall on the waist neatly and lend well to layering, the jumper is then hand-finished with loop-stitched PICANTE branding on the rear at the hem, contrasted in black or white thread depending on the colorway.

Available in limited numbers, the FORGE KNIT SWEATER will drop on PICANTE’s website on November 4 at 1 p.m. GMT. Take a closer look at the Annie Reid-shot lookbook above, which stars Asa Butterfield, p-rallel and Callum Mullin.
