NIGO and VERDY are set to release a collaborative KENZO capsule for the brand’s spring/summer 2024 line, featuring a vibrant, streetwear-inspired aesthetic.
The collection features a wide range of wears, from graphic tees to all-over print hoodies and tops, as well as a variety of accessories like bags and more. Core colors in the collection include white, blue, black and a vivid red synonymous with VERDY’s Girls Don’t Cry brand. A few stand-out items include a leather varsity jacket and a cream-knit “KENZO PARIS” hoodie.
VERDY, a close friend of Nigo, is renowned for his dynamic and colorful graphics that resonate with youth culture themes, including skateboarding, hip-hop and manga. His designs, a blend of Japanese artistry and Western streetwear sensibilities, perfectly complement NIGO’s direction for KENZO, creating a unique fusion of styles.
The collaboration highlights VERDY’s signature typography across various garments selected from the spring/summer 2024 collection. These include “Kenzo,” “KENZO Paris,” “18 Rue Vivienne,” and “1970” branding, revisited by VERDY and featured on woven, knit, denim, leather pieces and accessories in the collection.
First revealed at the Men’s Fashion Week in Paris and with a repeat appearance at the brand’s fashion show in Shanghai last July, the collection is finally set to launch via an exclusive pop-up shop on the Champs-Élysées in Paris from December 2 to 17 — to be followed by another pop-up via 10 Corso Como in Seoul, South Korea, from December 16 to December 26.
The collection is also expected to drop online today, December 1, via KENZO’s official site and will remain online until December 3. A global release at KENZO stores is also expected to begin December 4.
