Excited fans think a so far accurate leaker has teased Detective Pikachu and Pikmin related reveals for today’s Nintendo Direct.
Rumours of a new Nintendo Direct dropping this week were proven correct yesterday and fans may already have an idea of some of the reveals Nintendo has planned.
Ahead of Nintendo’s formal announcement, Twitter user Pyoro, who accurately predicted Everybody 1-2-Switch and Sonic Superstars, claimed to know that a new 2D Mario game and a remake of an unspecified SNES title will be shown.
They haven’t made any more overt claims about the Direct since then, but it’s believed they’ve hinted at announcements for Detective Pikachu and Pikmin.
Even if Nintendo hadn’t confirmed it, Pikmin 4 was guaranteed to make an appearance as it’s the company’s next first-party exclusive after Everybody 1-2-Switch.
Pyoro’s tweet of ‘Everybody 1-2-Pikmin!’ could just be referencing both of those games making an appearance, but some Nintendo fans think this is suggesting that the first two Pikmin games will see a remaster or re-release for Nintendo Switch.
