Continuing to share its investigation of iconic music, PLEASURES has now come together with N.E.R.D. for a special release at BELOWGROUND in Hong Kong. Tapping one of the most influential groups in music history, the duo is set to present a fresh and inventive collaboration of apparel and furniture.
Despite being rooted in a heavy music influence, PLEASURES understands the importance of highlighting creative icons. Coming together with N.E.R.D., aka No One Ever Really Dies, the hip-hop and rock outfit of Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and Shay Haley that informed music in the late ’90s and early 2000s. The collective group is best known for pioneering hybrid sound blends, mixing elements of rap, funk, jazz, alternative rock, and R&B that powered a generation of people who straddle cultures, genres, identities, and expressions.
Pre-releasing at the BELOWGROUND pop-up, N.E.R.D. and PLEASURES has put together a special capsule collection that highlights N.E.R.D.’s discography, impact, and essence. Comprised of 13 styles, the range features varsity jackets, T-shirts inspired by tracks off of In Search Of… (2002), and collaborative Modernica furniture pieces.
The N.E.R.D. x PLEASURES collection will be pre-released exclusively at BELOWGROUND starting November 17, with a wider release on PLEASURES’ website and at select global retailers November 24, 10 a.m. PST.
