MARKET and My Chemical Romance Reunite for Punk-Filled Collab

This past July, Los Angeles-based brand MARKET teamed up with rock band My Chemical Romance for a 2000s emo/pop-punk collaboration. As a tribute to the band’s history, the offering centered on MCR’s black and red color scheme alongside its signature side hairstyle. Now, MARKET has reunited with the rock band for its second collaboration.

Still washed in its signature black and red colorway, the capsule’s punk-inspired cadence is comprised of a hoodie, checkered sweater, long sleeve T-shirt and a short sleeve T-shirt. Graphic designs like spider webs, scary faces, bows and arrows and an image of Gerard Way appear across the collection pieces. Finishing of the offering is a geometric beanie and a large woven blanket.

“When we first connected with My Chemical Romance, we knew it was meant to be more than just one drop – it’s impossible to encapsulate the band’s legacy in one collection and as huge fans of the band, we had to go big,” said MARKET’s Director of Merchandising, Malachi Shockley. “For this drop, our team pulled together the ultimate homage collection, referencing the iconic classroom shoot from MCR’s “I’m Not Okay” debut. We tried to instill the nostalgic emo feel that MCR is known for across the capsule.”

Check out the gallery above for a look at the collection. Ranging in price from $45 USD to $150 USD, the collection is available now online.
