Following fabrics and clothing company Loro Piana and fragment design‘s Hiroshi Fujiwara‘s genderless capsule collection, the luxury wool and cashmere manufacturer dubbed the “Italian Hérmes” and the Japanese designer known as the “Godfather of Harajuku” join forces once more for a collaboration collection between Loro Piana and uniform experiment co-founded by SOPHNET.‘s Hirofumi Kiyonaga.
The new range of streetwear-meets-luxury consists of high-quality pieces decorated with minimalistic details. Leading the lineup is the reconstructed custom MA-1 jacket made by Alpha Industries lined with Loro Piana’s 150 striped wool. Adorning the left sleeve is a uniform experiment logo and a ribbon. The tapered pants is dressed in a faint striped pattern, where the right thigh sees a concealed zipper pocket.
The uniform experiment x Loro Piana New Year’s collection is set to drop on the SOPHNET. website and in-store on January 2, 2022, 12:00 p.m. JST. — from ¥38,500 JPY (approximately $335 USD) for the tapered pants to ¥71,500 JPY (approximately $620 USD) for the MA-1 jacket.
