Lisa Snowdon admitted she had come to terms with the fact that would never be a mum to her own children after going through early menopause.
The 51-year-old presenter revealed that she had started to experience symptoms as early as 44-years-old and as a result her chances of falling pregnant were virtually none.
Engaged to her fiancé George Smart since 2016, the TV star said there was no way she could ever have biological children with her partner at this point.
Despite sharing her early heartbreak at the prospect of never giving birth, she has since accepted her altered reality and has chosen to focus on her blessings instead.
A believer in ‘everything happens for a reason’, the former Britain’s Next Top Model host explained how she made ‘peace’ with her future.
She shared: ‘I’m at peace now with not having children. I feel like everything is as it is meant to be.’
The star continued telling Prima magazine: ‘When George and I got back together, I said, “You know, if we want to have kids, we probably need to get on with that” and he replied, “Why don’t you and I just go on adventures together?”
‘It immediately took the pressure off.’
She outlined how she began feeling changes over seven years ago and as the menopause set in, she became happier with the idea of exploring ‘other options’ with her partner.
Lisa said: ‘Though it’s still possible for some women to have a baby in perimenopause, I knew my partner and I probably wouldn’t be able to have a biological child now.’
Chatting with Fabulous magazine, the famous face shared how George handled the situation and praised him for his support during the process.
‘We’d discussed it in the past, but hadn’t started trying, so I knew we’d have to explore other options in the future if we did want to become parents,’ Lisa revealed.
‘George was brilliant about it and told me we could look into alternative ways in the future. It was a lot to come to terms with.’
Lisa is now looking forward to her wedding day, an event that was forced to be rescheduled due to the pandemic.
