Linda Nolan, 64, shaves her head after losing hair for fourth time due to cancer

Linda Nolan has shaved her head after losing her hair once again to cancer.

The singer, 64, shared the devastating news that her cancer has spread to her brain in March.

She’s since said she is preparing ‘for the inevitable’, as Linda was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006.

Later on, she was diagnosed with incurable secondary breast cancer which had spread to her hip in 2017.

Three years later, she revealed that cancer had spread to her liver, with more tumours being discovered.

In her latest update, Linda has shared that her hairdresser friend came over to her house and shaved her hair off.

Speaking to The Mirror, she revealed how she dealt with it – by heading to the pub.

‘Then I said, “Get me a cap, we’re going out for a drink”,’ she laughed.

However, things aren’t easier the fourth time around.

‘When we got back I was emotional. My sister Maureen said, “Are you alright?”, and I couldn’t speak, then I said, “Not really.” She came and sat beside me and put her arm around me,’ Linda added.

‘I just feel, because I’ve been having steroid treatment as well and my face is swollen, I look like Mrs Potato Head.

‘People say, “Well you know you look great”, but inside I’m screaming, “I just don’t want to lose my hair again!” I was devastated at losing it.’

The star said she has ‘two lovely wigs’ and she will wear them, but with reluctance.

‘I hate them,’ Linda said.

‘I check it’s on straight all the time, or if it’s warm I’m boiling. It’s been easier to wear the baseball cap.’

Shaving her hair comes not long after Linda was forced to deny being dead after an awful hoax message spread online.

A man online claimed that The Nolans star had died by sharing a tribute, with her family quickly clarifying.

A stern message was issued, revealing that in just 20 minutes since the initial rumour was posted, they had received a large volume of calls attempting to confirm the news.

They added, in no uncertain terms: ‘Linda Nolan is absolutely NOT dead.’

Fans flocked to the comment section to share their relief and frustration on the ‘terrible rumour’.
