HBO Announces Postponement of 'The Larry David Story' Documentary One Day Before Supposed Premiere

The premiere of HBO‘s highly-anticipated The Larry David Story documentary will be postponed.

HBO confirmed the news on social media, tweeting, “The #LarryDavidStory on @HBOMax is being postponed. Instead, Larry has decided he wants to do it in front of an audience.”

The two-part documentary, helmed by Larry Charles, was set to premiere on March 1. The Larry David Story follows the start of David’s journey into comedy, beginning with his standup career all the way to his co-creating efforts for Seinfeld and his most recent eleven seasons of the ground-breaking series Curb Your Enthusiasm. “Twenty-five years old, I didn’t know what I wanted to do. Well, what do you do when you’re talking and people are laughing? You do comedy,” David can be heard saying in the initial trailer. “I never thought of myself as being funny. Anything I was associated with that could be successful was a shock.”

Stay tuned for a new trailer and official release date for The Larry David Story.

Elsewhere in entertainment, John DiMaggio will return as Bender in the Futurama revival.
