Kate Beckinsale has issued a health update after a ‘tough week’.
The actress, 49, shared a photo with an IV drip as she recovers from a mystery illness.
And Kate isn’t the only one who’s had a rough time of things, as her cat, Clive, has also been under the weather, resulting in a recent trip to the vet.
Alongside a series of pictures, the Underworld star – whose last public appearance was at the glam Fashion Trust US Awards in LA on March 22 – wrote: ‘Tough week or two for both of us.
‘Thanks to everyone who has been loving us through.’
Concluding on a positive note, Kate added: ‘Prayers up for my Clive and brighter days ahead x’

The London-born movie star received a whole load of get-well wishes in the comments, as one Instagram fan wrote: ‘Aw bless you both! Prayers and love coming your way 💞’
‘Stay strong, you got this!!!’, encouraged another.
‘Aw so sorry to hear you and Clive have had a tough couple of weeks. I hope you both get well soon sending both prayers and love to both of you ❤️❤️❤️’, penned another.
As Persian cat Clive is looked after by professionals, mum-of-one Kate shared some throwback pics to her Insta Story, showing her cuddling her little fur baby.
Her feline friend is in safe hands, though, with the vets even texting Kate updates.
‘Good morning. I did well overnight, I ate really well and slept most of the night. I miss you’, a message read, written as if it were sent by Clive himself, who looks less than thrilled with a cone around his head currently.
Kate’s post to her 5.5million followers comes shortly after another personal message on the platform, as she honoured her mother.
Uploading a slew of sweet snaps, the star penned the sweetest Mother’s Day wish.

‘Ever since I was five you have been the centre of my universe,’ she began. ‘Loving you fiercely and in terror that I’d lose you too.’
Kate continued: ‘We have had as many laughs as we have had really rough seas and I truly believe that that and your extraordinary grace and courage is what has helped me to survive.
‘For all of my life, and most especially in the last six years, you have shown me that true warriors quietly do battle while caring for others, treasuring life, keeping me abreast of bike lanes in Chiswick, learning how to adapt to some intense s**t and still blaming any physical ailment I may have on the fact I wear high heels and drink too much Perrier.’
She signed off: ‘I love you more than you have the faintest clue of. Happy Mother’s Day to my extraordinary mama💕💕’
