London-based retailer Garbstore is following up on its recent jacket collaboration with Bodega with a new collection for Fall/Winter 2022 and the campaign takes a trip around the city of London. And while Garbstore has collaborated with the likes of designer-turned-monk Shunji Ohashi for a collection of one-of-one denim pieces, Padmore & Barnes for an animal print shoe capsule, and even Unified Goods for a special selection of archived T-shirts, books, and prints that spanned from the early 1970s to the early 2000s, this latest collection takes things back to basics with intricately designed knitwear, T-shirts, outerwear and accessories.
Collection highlights come in the form of the Goose Down Liner which is made from water-resistant nylon ripstop, while the navy Wool Zip Up comes in an oversized silhouette and is crafted from high-quality Japanese Wool. Garbstore’s mainline also includes a selection of courduroy, as well as a boxy-fitted wide-wale cotton cord that comes in a sandy hue across the Manager Blouson and the classic Ruffle Pant.
Due to the collection taking inspiration from the streets of London, knitwear pieces this Fall are the Made in England Merino Crew sweaters and cardigans — all of which take inspiration from retro sportswear. The comfortable garments are produced with minimalist color palettes, while other options — for those who prefer more vibrancy — are available in fluorescent tones.
