Known for taking everyday items and turning them into surreal objects, Gab Bois now teams up with the jewelry brand Miansai to create a line of rings, bracelets and necklaces that are centered around repurposed, genuine sim cars and iPhone cameras.
For those who aren’t aware of who Gab Bois is, they are the multifaceted creative that designs otherworldly photos of furniture, clothes, accessories and more inspired by the mundane. Think boots with a sole unit made from keyboard keys, mobiles from the 2000s encapsulated in a clamshell, or a Mac…book. Aside from this, the artist is also known for creating the “LOAFA” that TOMM¥ €A$H wanted to make in association with IKEA.
Now, Gab Bois injects this irreverence into their collection with Miansai, dropping a comprehensive range of tech-infused jewelry. Leading the pack is a Dual Camera Signet Ring, which is crafted from 14-karat gold and features “two repurposed lenses from a modern-day smartphone.” Singular camera-centric rings also make a debut, as do camera stud earrings, dual camera drop-stud earrings, and single and dual camera necklaces.
Elsewhere, sim cars have been embedded into gold vermeil signet rings, necklaces, and a bracelet that sees sim cards all around. Prices range from $195 USD to $3,500 USD and all of the pieces you see above can be bought online now.
In other news, Alex Moss New York has crafted a chain for Chief Keef.
