Future is slated to be recognized for being the Trapper of the Year by the Trap Music Museum in Atlanta. Earlier this week, the Trap Music Museum made the official announcement that the rapper will be the latest recipient of the award for 2022.
Founder of the Trap Music Museum, T.I. is slated to present Future with the prestigious ring designed by Ice Box Jewelry. DJ Major Key is also set to provide the celebratory music for the event. The celebrations continue with an entire art exhibit dedicated to Future, unveiling on June 8. In an Instagram post, the museum wrote, “Join us in celebrating our Trapper Of The Year and immerse yourself in a world of captivating art at our annual exhibit unveiling on June 8th, from 7pm to 11pm!”
In 2022, Future dropped I Never Liked You, which was widely considered as one of the best hip-hop projects of that year. He also had chart-topping releases like the Grammy Award-winning “Wait for U” featuring Drake and Tems.” Beyond music, Future has invested in education in his hometown, hoping to emphasize STEM education. The renowned rapper gives back to his hometown of Atlanta in between projects, understanding that disparity still exists.
