Future triples up for the first time in his career as he leads the Billboard Artist 100, 200 and Hot 100 charts simultaneously, making him only the 11th artist in history to achieve this feat.
The Atlanta rapper leaps to the top spot from No. 30 on the Billboard Artist 100, thanks to the successful debut of his latest album, I NEVER LIKED YOU. He also takes the lead on the Billboard 200 for the eighth time, with the record landing at No. 1 with 222,000 units moved in its first week. This makes Future the fifth-most charted rapper after JAY-Z, Drake, Eminem and Ye.
Moreover, “WAIT FOR U” featuring Drake and Tems, also debuts at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, overtaking Harry Styles’ “As It Was.”
Future is now the second rapper to simultaneously lead the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100; Drake is the first rapper in history to have achieved this with his latest album, Certified Lover Boy, and his song featuring Future and Young Thug, “Way 2 Sexy.”
