DJI Introduces its Matrice 30 Enterprise Drone

DJI has introduced its new top-of-the-line Matrice 30 enterprise drone capable of withstanding gale-force winds, flying up to heights of 7000 meters (22965 feet), and enduring all-weather conditions between -20 and 50 celsius. An equally robust RC Plus controller arrives with a reimagined user interface for an all-knew flight control experience.

“We are proud to deliver the next generation of aerial tools that will save lives and bring work to new heights, with a 360-degree product solution suite for a variety of fields such as energy inspection, emergency rescue missions, environmental protection, and the digitization and preservation of cultural heritage,” said Christina Zhang, senior director of corporate strategy at DJI. When paired with the DJI Dock drone station, the M30 can be programmed for repeatable and automated drone flights for worksite monitoring with an operational radius of 7km.

The Matrice 30 (M30) is equipped with a 200x hybrid zoom camera for detailed shots, a thermal camera that reveals heat sources, a wide camera capable of generating 8k photos and 4K video at 30 frames-per-second, a low-light fpv camera for night-time flyovers, and a laser rangefinder. Flight time is estimated at 41 minutes and hot-swap batteries that charge 20% to 90% in 30 minutes are able to easily extend each session. While larger than DJI’s popular compact options such as the Mavic 3, the M30 is still small enough to fit into a backpack and is easily deployable.

The DJI M30 and M30T (Thermal) are now available for $9,999 and $13,999 USD respectively at the DJI website and DJI Enterprise dealers. Take a look at the video above for a full look at the upcoming offering.
