Denim Tears has just presented its “Ming the Tiger of Harlem” collection. For this, the brand explore a range of militarian prints alongside basketball inspiration, all of which are inspired by oversized, post-Y2K styles that are seen on the streets of Harlem, New York.
Usually, the Atlanta-born imprint is best known for its unique takes on denim styling, while the brand is also open to collaboration with recent projects seeing Denim Tears link up with the likes of Skepta and Stüssy. In addition to this, Denim Tears’ founder, Tremaine Emory, has been approached by the likes of Supreme and Dior to get involved in their operations. But, with this being said, Emory has stuck to his roots, and this is represented perfectly in his new approach to “Ming the Tiger of Harlem.”
The collection starts with a military-print co-ord set, the duo is designed with a sharp collar on the jacket, with both garments also featuring splashes of orange that include “Ming the Tiger of Harlem” branding. Additionally, the collection also includes interesting takes on knitwear with a new crewneck jumper coming in orange while also featuring a distressed American flag across the chest.
Other highlights come in the form of heavy-set outerwear, a long-sleeved polo shirt, jogging bottoms, and a Denim Tears-branded basketball vest which comes with customary branding and more “Ming the Tiger of Harlem” features.
You can take a closer look at the new collection from Denim Tears above and it is available on the brand’s official website now.
