Festival season is approaching, and despite the uncertainty surrounding the U.K.’s ongoing pandemic crisis, live music events are still being hopeful that they’ll be able to deliver a much-anticipated summer of fun. Joining in on the fun this year is Parklife, which has just announced the 2021 lineup — and the names do not disappoint.
Heading up the weekend at Heaton Park, Manchester, are acts including Skepta, Jamie xx, DaBaby, Young Thug, Burna Boy, AJ Tracey, BICEP (live), and dozens more. Dave will be Parklife’s Saturday headliner which marks a U.K. festival exclusive for the artist following his Mercury Prize and BRIT Award wins, while multi-GRAMMY-winning Megan Thee Stallion will also appear, and is sure to serve all her “Hot Girl” savagery that weekend.
Elsewhere, Parklife 2021 brings the world of newcomers and festival giants together by presenting Disclosure, Four Tet, Mabel, Peggy Gou, Kaytranada, slowthai, Eric Prydz, The Blessed Madonna, Earl Sweatshirt, Nines, Little Simz, KSI, Celeste, Pa Salieu and many more.
For the first time ever, Parklife has had to close ticket registrations as over 250,000 people have already signed up for pre-sale over the past few weeks. Those who have signed up for pre-sale can be in with a chance of purchasing a ticket on March 24 at 10 a.m. GMT (6 a.m. ET) on the Parklife website, while more tickets may be released subject-to-demand on March 25 also at 10 a.m. GMT online. Parklife 2021 will be held on September 11 and September 12, 2021.
In other news, Cardi B has earned her fifth number one hit with “UP.”
