FIFA has officially announced that it will be adding Crypto.com as an Official Sponsor for this year’s 2022 FIFA World Cup taking place in Qatar.
Beyond Crpyto.com’s $700 million USD deal that secured naming rights to the Staples Center arena in Los Angeles, the cryptocurrency exchange is also currently involved with a variety of sports teams and organizations including Formula One, the UFC, Paris Saint-Germain, Philadelphia 76ers, and more. It will now join brands such as adidas, Coca-Cola, and Visa as a sponsor for the FIFA World Cup for an undisclosed amount granting the exchange branding rights in and around the tournament venue and for its broadcasts.
“Crypto.com has already demonstrated a commitment to supporting top-tier teams and leagues, major events and iconic venues across the world, and there is no platform bigger, or with a greater reach and cultural impact, than FIFA’s global platform of football,” said FIFA’s Chief Commercial Officer Kay Madati.
“We could not be more excited to sponsor the FIFA World Cup, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world, and to drive further awareness of Crypto.com globally,” said Kris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com. “Through our partnership with FIFA, we continue to use our platform in innovative ways so that Crypto.com can power the future of world-class sports and fan experiences around the world.”
Crypto.com promises to activate its official sponsorship of the FIFA World Cup Qatar by providing various opportunities for new and existing users to attend matches during the tournament or win exclusive merchandise.
