Birmingham is quickly becoming a city full of fresh ideas and creative individualism. Recently, the midlands were blessed with an impressive collection from rising brand Bene Culture, and now fellow Brummy label Childish is presenting its latest hoodie. Launched by friends Jay Swingler and Romell Henry – after gaining strong popularity on YouTube — the pair have quickly broken out of the mold of “YouTuber merch,” by curating intricately-designed pieces that combine top-quality brushback jersey and bright graphics that hold individualized narratives.
This new Childish release is a celebration of Halloween and follows a story of a 13-year-old boy who is abducted by aliens. Explained through the graphic on the front of the hoodie, a slogan reads: “Could it be too late? Aliens came from outer space and stole our childhoods.”
Weighing at 520gsm, the hoodie features a back-hanger loop with a branded silicone patch. A branded button snap is also included, along with a deep kangaroo pocket. And while the hoodie is the only garment release, the packaging has been designed to be a part of the experience with a detailed story on the box, sealed with a ziplock bag.
You can take a closer look at the new Childish hoodie above and it will be available on pre-sale from September 4, while the official launch, coming with an exclusive boxed alien figurine, will be available on the official Childish website from October 2.
