Following its Case #R004 “COHERENCE” collection of “Future City Uniform,” C2H4 releases the lookbook for its upcoming Spring/Summer 2022 Case #R005 “Space Yacht Club” series.
Similar to its previous releases, C2H4 sets a vivid scene and backstory for its collection items to live in. For this season, designer Yixi Chen imagines “Space Yacht Club” situated on the C2H4 Harbor at which time is the currency. “In here, our members can spend their TIME to satisfy their demands with whatever they desire,” C2H4 wrote in a press release. “A variety of alluring and captivating activities will be offered to all club members throughout their eternal membership.”
The collection is an interpretation of the club’s dress code incorporating a range of menswear, womenswear, accessories, and special seasonal items in the brand’s signature blacked-out palette. Traditional formalwear is deconstructed and given a contemporary spin with unique cutting, raw edges, cut-outs, pleating, and asymmetric styling. Silver metallic accents in the form of custom badges, chains, pins, and buttons define and elevate the pieces. Denim sets seen shot in a Blade Runner-like aesthetic are also highlighted.
