The latest novelty unveiled by Arnold & Son is the Globetrotter Platinum timepiece. Releasing ahead of Watches and Wonders 2023, this is also the first time the emblematic model is crafted from 950 Platinum.
Starring a globe on the northern hemisphere, the dial embodies graduated hues of blue made of mother-of-pearl. The continents are rhodium-plated and polished with mountain range detailing in matte, while the oceans are hand-painted in blue lacquer with a powdered mother-of-pearl finish. An 18-carat gold bridge spans across the centerpiece, where coastlines are highlighted with a splash of Super-Luminova.
As for movement, the 45mm timepiece runs on an in-house A&S6022 self-winding mechanical calibre boasting 45 hours of power reserve. Completing this Globetrotter in platinum are hand-stitched blue alligator straps with a striking raspberry-pink lining.
Launching as a 28-piece limited edition, the Globetrotter Platinum is priced at $64,900 CHF (approximately $70,381 USD). More information on this special timepiece can be found on Arnold & Son’s official website. Meanwhile, Watches and Wonders 2023 will take place in Geneva from March 27 to April 2, 2023.
