Nike and Jordan Brand tend to borrow each other’s signature motifs when cooking up fresh footwear offerings. One example is that both brands will often lean on the “University Blue” theme for stylization given that it references Michael Jordan‘s alma mater. After appearing on the Air Huarache, the Tar Heel-inspired hue is now navigating its way onto the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT.
The college-friendly accent pokes out in various sections of the base layer such as the lower heels, toe tips, eye stays and cut-out Swoosh logos. A powdery blue seeps into the forefoot overlays as well as the collar flaps, the latter of which hosts angelic ball-and-wings logos. The rest of the upper is formed with light bone suede and mesh collars while the laces are colored up in a “Sail” hue. Underneath all of that, the midsoles come swathed with a creamy application and are stacked above “University Blue” outsoles.
A release date is still unknown, but Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers will likely stock these in the coming months.
