In fashion the French brand A.P.C. is known as a master of minimalism, finding its voice through fit, construction, color and branding. This approach naturally lends itself to golf, a sport whose uniform has traditionally been understated and sat adjacent to luxury fashion.
After premiering its first ever golf offering one year ago with the maxim “I don’t like the way that amateur players try to dress like professional golfers. I just want them to be chic,” Jean Touitou is back with another fairway ready collection just in time for spring.
As one might expect from an A.P.C. Golf line, the assortment is primarily arranged in neutral colors, with the brand’s signature indigo always serving as an anchor. Pieces like a navy ribbed knit sweater vest or a crewneck tee may not make use of denim, but either could be paired with it easily. Other common themes throughout are contrast tipping and trims which are used on a variety of rich cardigans, polos, skirts and dresses.
Meanwhile, from a branding perspective, the label uses its traditional abbreviation with the word golf spelled out in cursive underneath, as well as a depiction of a golf bag balanced against a guitar.
