After reimagining Y2K wares with its 2023 1st Collection, 4DIMENSION® has also prepared a collaboration with OPALS and MUDA MAKER. The 10th-anniversary team-up centers around co-designed multi-purpose furniture.
Dubbed “zed,” the unique furniture is made of birch plywood manipulated by 3D cutting and molding by CNC machining. To make for an environmentally conscious offering, the surface is coated with eco-friendly and non-toxic paints. The metal panel marked with radial holes found on the side can be shown as a display detail or used functionally with hooks. The zed Multi-Purpose Furniture serves as a side table, stool, or home storage, easily manipulated for various usage patterns.
Priced at $6,500 TWD (approximately $211 USD), the zed Multi-Purpose Furniture by 4DIMENSION®, OPALS, and MUDA MAKER is available now alongside a graphic T-shirt design on the dedicated website. Visual art creator Ted Chen created a 3D animation showing the assembly of the furniture to create an immersive experience on the website.
