Susan Boyle supported by Elton John as she makes appearance since stroke news

BGT: Susan Boyle makes surprise appearance during final

Susan Boyle made a rare appearance for the first time since addressing her health woes after the I Dreamed A Dream singer attended Sir Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road concert tour in Glasgow on Sunday night.

The 62-year-old looked to be in good spirits as she shared a photo alongside Sir Elton, 76, as the pair could be seen in a sweet embrace.

In a video clip, posted to the BGT star’s account the pair hugged each other tightly as the Tiny Dancer hitmaker held Susan’s face in his hands and planted a kiss on her forehead.

The caption read: “Susan met the legend himself, @eltonjohn last night in Glasgow at his phenomenal #farewellyellowbrickroad tour. A night she will never forget!”

Susan’s 84,200 followers rushed to the comment section as they gushed over the photos.

One person gushed: “I would feel equally as honoured to meet Susan!”

Another commented: “Please, release a song together!!!! We will love it!”

A third wrote: “Biggest legends at the same place, I love it, ” while another quipped: “Elton met the legend herself, Susan Boyle.”

In the photo, Elton looked sprightly as he stood behind Susan, who was seated, and placed his hands on her shoulders.

The legendary singer sported a personalised jacket and donned his signature sunglasses.

Susan looked equally smart in a chic blazer teamed with a white buttoned shirt as the pair beamed at the camera.

Her latest appearance comes after the singer said that she was afraid she wouldn’t be able to perform again due to her health battle, which she hadn’t spoken about prior to the Britain’s Got Talent 2023 final last month.

According to reports, Susan is said to have made an amazing recovery after a stroke left her speech “almost unintelligible”.

A source told Daily Mail: “She was able to walk but had a dropped face and was slurring her words. She was capable of speech but it was hard to work out what she was saying.”

They added that while Susan has slowed down with work commitments there could be plans to potentially do a concert tour in 2024.
