Matt Tebutt, 48, has had emergency surgery on an infected kidney. The Saturday Kitchen chef shared a photo from his hospital bed, as he updated his followers on how he was doing.

Matt posted a selfie while lying in a hospital bed, in view of his 62,200 followers.
He captioned the post: “Me, a morphine drip and an emergency appendectomy are keeping me from a much anticipated lunch at @manteca_london with @ollysmith @sarah10016 @hardiegrantuk.
“But everything and everyone here at The Grange hospital in Gwent has been fantastic.
“Couldn’t ask for more from such a brilliant health service.
