Sam Faiers admitted that her night out at the Pride of Britain Awards “didn’t last very long” – after she risked a red carpet run-in with former friend Ferne McCann.
The former TOWIE stars, aged 32 and 31, attended the annual event after the recentvoice note drama, where an anonymous Instagram account started sharing recordings, which appear to be Ferne's voice.
Ferne and Sam almost risked an awkward run-in as they both attended the annual star-studded event separately.
The morning after the event, mum-of-three Sam took to Instagram, where she explained why she had to leave early.
Filming herself returning to a London hotel with her partner Paul Knightley, 30, she told her 2.5 million followers: "Nana Gaynor had Paul and Rosie and mum had Edward at the hotel (I only get about a three-hour window.)
"Edward doesn't take milk from a bottle. Can anyone relate? He will only have boobie.
"My Pride of Britain night out didn't last very long, but it was to hear some of the stories from such inspiring, brave people."
Sam looked sensational on the red carpet as she wore a long-sleeved brown gown with feathered cuffs and a thigh-high slit.
She styled her brunette locks into a sweptback bun, adding a slick of radiant make-up and delicate silver jewellery.
Ferne, meanwhile, opted for a long-sleeved brown gown, which featured a high-neck, cut-out detailing on the stomach and mermaid silhouette skirt.
It comes after an anonymous Instagram account started sharing recordings, which appear to be Ferne's voice, last month.
The first clip sensationally appears to feature her using the C-word to talk about former BFF Sam, adding: "Her thighs are so big and I looked really skinny today."
While in another voice note, a woman, allegedly Ferne, can be heard saying: "She is just a narcissistic b***h.
"It’s just so s**t on people that have worked hard, because she’s got a big following. It’s just ridiculous — it’s out of order."
A distraught Ferne reportedly had her "life turned upside down" and allegedly called in the police, who are "tracking the parties responsible".
OK! contacted representatives for Ferne and Sam at the time.
While in a statement released to OK! on Sunday 2 October, Essex Police said: "We are investigating a report of malicious communication which was made to us in Brentwood on Thursday 29 September.
"We have spoken to the victim, a woman aged in her 30s, and our enquiries are ongoing."
