Following the death of Prince Philip, tributes have began pouring in for the monarch, who lost his life at the age of 99.
The Queen announced the sad news in a statement which read: "It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle."
Celebrities have taken to Twitter to share their condolences for the Royal family as they mourn the loss of Prince Philip.
Nigel Farage tweeted: "Very sad to see the death of Prince Philip. He was a great man in both war and peace. All of our thoughts are with our magnificent Queen."
Dragon's Den star Theo Paphitis penned: "Extremely sorry to hear about Prince Philip. My thoughts go out to the Royal Family."
The public also shared their tributes for Prince Philip, with one person writing: "God rest his soul #PrincePhilip #DukeOfEdinburgh."
While a second added: "Omg, RIP to Prince Phillip. So glad he passed peacefully."
