Pedro Pascal once again dazzled fans after he walked the red carpet with his younger sister, Javiera Balmaceda, at the 2023 Academy Awards.
In recent months, Game of Thrones’ Pedro has become the “internet’s boyfriend” and is often the subject of thirsty tweets, brilliantly edited compilations and just about everyone gushing over his performances in shows like The Mandalorian, The Last of Us and Narcos.
The 47 year old actor attended the Oscars on Sunday night, where he presented Best Animated Short and Best Documentary Short with Marvel’s Elizabeth Olsen.
He also attended the star-studded ceremony to support his younger sister Javiera who was at the event for her contribution to Argentina, 1985, which was nominated for Best International Film.
Sadly, the flick didn’t secure the award, as it instead went to Germany’s All Quiet on the Western Front, which is streaming on Netflix.
The brother-sister duo was pictured on the red carpet, where Pedro could be seen as dashing as ever in a black blazer and trousers and a collarless white shirt.
He stood proudly alongside his sister, who sported an elegant floor-length black dress which she accented with silver jewellery and circular glasses.
They were later pictured with Salma Hayek and her daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, with the Magic Mike actor in a sparkly bronze ensemble which framed her chest and cascaded to the floor.
Fans gushed over Pedro and his sister on social media, with one person penning: “LOVE HIS SUIT! He ROCKS regardless, but he represents what appears to be effortless and comfortable men’s elegant dress so well, VERY NICE, sir."
“AAAAAWE HE LOOKS SO PRETTY,” someone else said.
Other fans were positively obsessed with the fact that Javiera’s dress featured pockets, as one person exclaimed: “Great dress! It haa pockets.”
“And it has pockets! Lol,” someone else wrote, “Her dress has pockets. That is all.”
Elsewhere during the ceremony, Everything Everywhere All at Once secured big wins as the cast and crew went home with seven awards after being nominated for 11.
Jessica Chastain was also applauded by fans online after being the only celeb to wear a mask during the ceremony.
Brendan Fraser reduced fans and audience members to tears after he won Best Actor for his comeback role in The Whale.
“So this is what the multiverse looks like,” he said, accepting the award with tears in his eyes. “I thank the academy for this honour… Darren Aronofsky for throwing me a creative life-line and hauling me aboard the good ship, The Whale."
He continued: “You laid your whale-sized hearts bare… and it is my honour to be named alongside you in this category.
“I want to tell you that only whales can swim at the depths of the talent of Hong Chau,” he said.
“I started in this business 30 years ago and things didn't come easy to me… there was a facility that that I didn’t appreciate at the time until it stopped.”
