Before Meghan Markle landed her big break starring in TV show Suits, she took on guest roles – including in one episode of ABC's Castle, where she played a serial killer princess.
The Duchess of Sussex, 40, who recently shared her concerns over "misinformation" to Spotify, portrayed the character of Charlotte Boyd, dressed as Sleeping Beauty, in an fairytale-based segment titled "Once Upon A Crime" almost a decade before she met her now-husband Prince Harry, 37.
Detectives Castle and Beckett were set the task of investigating the murder of two women, who were dressed as Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White.
Fearing that a secret of Charlotte's would come out after being blackmailed, she killed the pair by injecting them with drugs to stop their hearts. After being questioned by the detectives, the character was arrested for murder.
Fans couldn't help but comment on how different Meghan looks in the footage as they flocked to the comments to voice their opinions.
"Just watched Meghan Markle in an old episode of Castle – she played such a good part. Just felt a bit strange watching her act and thinking of her life now," one person said.
Another wrote: "I am watching an old episode of Castle where Meghan Markle is playing a victim who was being blackmailed. She looks so different."
While a third added: "It was Meghan Markle! Not only that, it was ironically a fairy-tale themed episode, and in her first scene she was dressed as a princess."
A year after appearing on the show, Meghan explained that the role was a stepping stone in her career, which took off in Suits as she played the role of Rachel Zane.

A year after this, Meghan launched her successful "inspired lifestyle" blog called The Tig.
First going live in May 2014, the former actress wrote about all things lifestyle, from her shopping wishlists and her favourite recipes to experiences growing up as a biracial child.
