Lucy Beaumont named ‘worst ever’ GBBO contestant as disgusted Paul Hollywood SPITS OUT ‘inedible’ cake during celebrity special – before David Morrissey is crowned Star Baker
Lucy Beaumont was named the ‘worst ever’ contestant on The Great British Bake Off as she competed on Sunday’s celebrity special with Stand Up 2 Cancer.
The comedian, 39, failed to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith as she presented them with her calamitous Showstopper cake, which the Cheshire-native claimed was almost ‘inedible’.
She certainly made life easier for her co-stars Tom Daley, Adele Roberts and David Morrissey, who went on to be crowned Star Baker.
Not one to hold back on his opinion, a disgusted Paul even spat out Lucy’s creation.
He said in his feedback: ‘I wouldn’t say it’s inedible, but it’s on the way. I’ve never had a cake like it. It’s bizarre.’

Crikey! The comedian, 39, failed to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith as she presented them with her calamitous Showstopper cake
Taking the criticism on the chin, Lucy joked afterwards: ‘I’ve had a nice day out. I’d like to win the apron but I’m not being funny, I do have aprons at home.’
Out of earshot, Paul told Prue Leith as well as hosts Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas: ‘It’s certainly one of the worst cakes we’ve ever seen in the tent!’
After a decision had been made, Noel couldn’t resist making a dig at Lucy when he announced the winner.
He said in his announcement to the tent: ‘The winner of star baker is Lucy… No of course it isn’t,’ before adding, ‘If it was up to me you’d be the winner.’
But viewers really went wild at Tom Daley’s very cheeky appearance on the show.
The Olympic diver, 28, sent fans into hysterics as he made some X-rated quips about the ‘girth’ of a large rolling pin while whipping together a quiche with questionable decoration.
The knitting enthusiast even revealed his plans to produce a willy-warmer for judge Paul during a spine-ticking conversation with host Matt.
Clocking his innuendos, Twitter users rushed to the platform to share their humour.

One wrote: ‘What would you knit for Paul ? A Willy warmer says @TomDaley1994 lol #GBBO.’
Another added, ‘Tom Daley’s already done so many double-entendres and eyebrow-raises to camera on #GBBO he might as well just pitch The Great British Knit-Off to Love Productions now and be done with it.’
A third penned, ‘Never mind, Tom Daley knows exactly what he’s doing talking about girth. He wants these thirsty gays #GBBO.’
Someone else said, ‘Not gonna lie, @TomDaley1994 talking about a girthy rolling pin got me more excited than it should have! #GBBO.’
One more concluded, ‘Laughing at Tom’s presentation of his quiche #GBBO.’
