There is good news for Hugo Hammond on the horizon as he finally makes a move on new girl Amy Day on Wednesday night's instalment of Love Island.
In steamy scenes yet to air on ITV2, the unlucky-in-love PE teacher enjoys a passionate kiss with the brunette bombshell in Casa Amor.
Viewers were previously unsure whether their flirtations could blossom into something more after they locked lips during a challenge – however, it looks like the twosome may be the show's new power couple.
Hugo's exciting turn of events happens when the Surrey stunner tells him during a chat: "With you, it's like I can't wait to talk to you next. You've shown interest, which is amazing. When I first came in, and there was an initial something."
Pleased with her feelings for him, Hugo responds: "Nice I finally acted upon it, eh?"
Amy replies: "Yeah, it's interesting, it's exciting."
Hugo laughs before telling her: "You look nervous, giddy."
Amy then goes into pinky promise Hugo, but much to his surprise and delight leans in for a kiss.
This is a long time coming for Hugo, who was ruthlessly friend-zoned by Chloe Burrows on Sunday night's episode despite saving her during last week's recoupling.
During a conversation, Hugo told Chloe: "I've just got to double-check that, obviously, I know what your type is. As we know, this place is mad and conversations can eventually happen, may as well do it soon to save any future hassle!"
Putting her head in her hands before continuing, Chloe said: "I just think, what we have been through and where I'm at. I just feel like, for me, it wouldn't be romantic because of how close we are.
"I wouldn't want to ruin that, and I just don't know if there would be something, and I don't want to force it, if it's not happened naturally."
To which Hugo added: "If it hasn't happened by now, probably would have happened."
