Katie Price fans vote against her hosting Big Brother as she throws name into the ring

Katie Price's fans have voted to say they don't want her to host the upcoming Big Brother reboot as she throws her name into the ring.

The 44 year old won the fifteenth series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2015, beating Katie Hopkins, Calum Best, Keith Chegwin and Michelle Visage in the final.

She has now teased a return to the show – which will relaunch on ITV2 in 2023 – but this time as a host.

But her fans have decided they don't want to see the former glamour model front the show as they voted in a poll on her Instagram story.

Sharing a photo of herself leaving the Big Brother house after her win with her 2.7million followers, she wrote: "I won Big Brother! Would you like me 2 present it."

The accompanying poll shows that over half of her followers don't want to see her replace Emma Willis on the show, with 58 per cent of people selecting "No" leaving just 42 per cent of people choosing "Yes".

Emma, who hosted the show from 2013 until its end in 2018, has recently ruled herself out of hosting the new version of the show.

She told Radio Times: "I think with every new era of Big Brother, I think there should be a new host.

"You know, I loved my time on the show, and I very much kind of said goodbye to it back then because we thought it was over. I don't tend to go back. I like to move forward.

"I think it's right. It's starting again, it's got a new home – it should have a new host."

Earlier this month it was reported that This Morning presenter Alison Hammond – who found fame on Big Brother in 2002 – is the execs' favourite to host the reboot.

A source told The Mirror: "Alison is top of the list to present next year's Big Brother.

"Execs think she's exactly what the show needs. She's energetic, fun, relatable and she was on the show, so she knows it inside out."

Other names linked to the gig are former Bit On The Side host Rylan Clark, The Masked Singer's Mo Gilligan and former Love Island star Maura Higgins.

The Sun reports that Mo has been ruled out due to scheduling conflicts, with ITV bosses eyeing up Maura instead.

A source says: "Maura is a homegrown ITV talent…plus of course looks great on screen."
