As the King's Coronation draws closer, members of the royal family will be busy preparing for the historical day ahead with Kate Middleton said to be hitting the gym and helping her children.
The Princess of Wales will play a key role in her grandfather-in-law's coronation as the next Queen Consort in line of succession, alongside husband, Prince William who is heir to the throne.
As preparations and rehearsals are well underway for the day, historian, writer and broadcaster Tessa Dunlop spoke exclusively to OK! and said “Kate will be working out and in that gym" in the days leading up to the coronation.
Talking further about Kate's preparations, Tessa said: "I think Kate will be having lots of fittings, she loves clothes, she loves dressing her children up.
“That's her hobby, we know she loves clothes, we know she loves design and that curated style".
Not only will the mum of three be focused on how she'll look on the day but she will also be preparing Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis who will all play a key role alongside their parents.
Royal expert Tessa added: "Kate will be playing it down a bit so they don't get nervous, they would have been at school the day before presumably, children are very good at taking things in their stride.
"I'm sure Kate and William would have gone through the service several times with the children.
"Their children go to prep schools anyway, and they all have religious services all the time, that's part of being posh, that’s part of being at a prep school.
“You learn to sit in a pew, be still in a pew and listen, that is what they’re trained to do from birth virtually.
“They’re used to public performance.
“So I've got no worries about George, Charlotte and even Louis delivering on the day".
While the coronation can be a long day for young royals, Tessa added: "I think there will be a lot of choreography planning, childcare, exits and entrances".
Tessa said that during the service at Westminster Abbey Kate will be "keeping an eye" on Charlotte and Louis while her eldest, George will be with the pageboys and William will be nearer the front in the line of succession.
Talking further about the day, Tessa said: “This is something Kate is going to be looking forward to, it’s a very controlled environment, we know Kate quite likes controlled environments, we know they suit her.
"The coronation plays to Kate and William’s family’s strengths.
"They understand how to act as a unit, how to support Camilla and Charles, they're very good at it and I think it suits them.
"They're less good at the informal stuff, they can look a bit geeky and square sometimes, but in a context like this, it really it works for them”.
She added: "Kate excels at this, bringing out the best in those around her, especially in little people. She’ll want this to be a special memory for them, for helping Granddad and I’m sure they’ll be looking forward to it”.
Tessa Dunlop's book, Elizabeth and Philip: The Story of Young Love, Marriage and Monarchy, is out now in paperback.
