A cryptic Instagram caption from Justin Bieber has fans convinced the singer and his wife, Hailey Bieber, are expecting their first child. On July 19, Justin, 27, shared a black and white photo of the two looking beachy on a white sofa. Hailey’s bathing suit bottom clearly shows her chiseled-as-usual tummy, but the caption — “mom and dad,” plus a photographer credit — got fans riled up in the comments. “Wait what? MOM AND DAD?!” one user asked. “What!? Is there a baby coming? The Bieber family is growing!!!!!” added another. It wasn’t long before Justin and Hailey’s followers trotted out various factoids about the Biebers’ previous statements about starting a family. “I don’t think. He said he wants to wait until tour life is over before he has kids with her,” one fan noted, while another pointed out that Hailey said recently “that she is not ready to have kids.” Hailey, 24, also shared photos of herself in a swimsuit, though she gave no indication of a pregnancy. Back in 2019, Justin posted photos of a sonogram and Hailey at a doctor’s office before admitting it had been an April Fool’s joke. He later apologized after realizing he’d offended a number of people struggling with fertility issues.

Adele sparks romance rumors during night out with NBA agent Rich Paul
Adele made a rare public appearance in Phoenix over the weekend — possibly with a new beau. Looking gorgeous in a long, animal print Vivienne Westwood coat and heels, the singer stepped out to see the the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Phoenix Suns, 123-119, in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on July 17. At her side was Rich Paul, a 39-year-old sports agent phenom from Cleveland who got his start working with his longtime friend (and present-day client) LeBron James in the early aughts. Adele, 33, stayed close to Rich throughout the game, but it was a comment from ESPN’s Brian Windhorst after the game that sent romance rumors about Adele and Rich into overdrive. During a chat with NBA reporter Zach Lowe on “The Lowe Post,” Brian referred to Adele as Rich’s “girlfriend,” telling his co-host, “Rich Paul, [LeBron James’] agent, brings his girlfriend to the game sitting next to LeBron. His girlfriend is Adele. He later added that the game marked “the first time they’ve come out in public together,” and predicted that the dating news would “be all over the tabloids” the next day, but gave no sources for his info. If the two are dating, the relationship is likely new — after she hosted “Saturday Night Live,” last fall, Adele joked on Instagram that she was going back to “cave” following the show to “be the (single) cat lady that I am.”

Megan Thee Stallion makes Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue history
Hip-hop’s resident hot girl Megan Thee Stallion just made history as the first rapper to ever appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. “When I got the call that they wanted me on the cover, I was like, ‘Wha—? Me?'” Megan, 26, recalled in an interview with People. “And to be the first female rapper on the swim cover makes it extra special.” Megan’s cover is one of three for 2021; tennis champion Naomi Osaka and model/actress Leyna Bloom also grace their own covers of the celebrated edition, with Leyna’s cover marking the magazine’s first-ever inclusion of a trans over star. “I think they are on the forefront when it comes to diversity and inclusion because they do not fear change, they lean into it. They see the world and have it reflect on the cover and pages inside. That is why they have been so successful,” Megan said of SI. “My earliest memory of a SI Swimsuit cover was Tyra,” the “Body” rapper added. “I remember thinking, ‘Wow, this girl looks like me!’ Here is this stunning Black woman owning her curves and it made a big impact. It made me think, maybe I can be on the cover of SI Swim one day. And guess what — I am!”

Prince Harry to publish memoir in 2022
Prince Harry is working on a memoir — and while he hasn’t indicated the extent to which he’ll delve into his ongoing rift with the royal family, he says it will offer an “accurate and wholly truthful” glimpse at his life experience. “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” he said in a statement shared by his publisher, Penguin Random House, on July 19. “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.” According to the press release, the book and audiobook will include memories from Harry’s childhood, his tours in Afghanistan, his marriage to Meghan Markle and his journey to fatherhood. According to Page Six, Harry’s father, Prince Charles, was not aware of the memoir plans prior to this week’s news, which reportedly caused some “chaos” at Buckingham Palace. Proceeds from the book will be donated to charity, per Random House, which didn’t specify which organization would receive the donation. Harry’s memoir is due out next year.
‘Bridgerton,’ ‘House of the Dragon’ pause production due to positive COVID-19 tests
As nearly all coronavirus pandemic restrictions were lifted in England on July 19, production was paused due to positive COVID-19 cases on the U.K. sets of both “Bridgerton” and the “Game of Thrones” prequel “House of the Dragon,” according to Deadline. “Bridgerton” had only just resumed filming after a cast or crew member tested positive last week when a second positive test forced the Netflix hit back into limbo “indefinitely” over the weekend, the outlet reported. On “House of the Dragon,” it was reportedly a crew member who tested positive. That person was sent home to self-isolate, and production is slated to resume later this week. The news comes after tennis star Coco Gauff announced she’s withdrawn from her first Olympics due to a positive COVID-19 test. Former E! News star Catt Sadler, who is fully vaccinated, announced last week she’d tested positive for the highly contagious Delta variant, reminding Instagram followers that “the pandemic is very much NOT over …”
Halsey welcomed first child with Alev Aydin
Halsey’s a mom! After a painful battle with endometriosis and a miscarriage, the singer has welcomed their first child with screenwriter Alev Aydin. “Gratitude. For the most ‘rare’ and euphoric birth. Powered by love,” Halsey captioned a pair of black and white photos from just after the baby’s birth on Instagram on July 19. “Ender Ridley Aydin 7/14/2021,” they added. In the liner notes to their third studio album, 2020’s “Manic,” Halsey explained that the song “More” was inspired by their reproductive health journey. “For a long time, I didn’t think that having a family was something I was going to be able to do, and it’s very, very important to me. Then one day my OB-GYN tells me it’s looking like I maybe can, and I was so moved. It felt like this ascension into a different kind of womanhood. All of a sudden, everything is different,” they wrote, adding that the “the fading instrumental at the end of the song” is meant “to sound like a sonogram, like you were hearing the sounds from inside a womb.”
Pierce Brosnan announces first-ever art exhibition
More than three decades after Pierce Brosnan took up painting, the actor has announced plans to stage his first art exhibition. On Instagram over the weekend, he shared a series of his colorful, acrylic on canvas paintings. “I do ponder at times whether to show the work slowly practiced since one dark night in 1987 when I first began to paint. However as my darling wife Keely says, your only going to paint so many in your life time,” he captioned the gallery. “So come year’s end I shall have my first art show in LA…if not now when? Time to let them go.” The post quickly garnered more than 100,000 likes — and a comment from Pierce’s pal, Aaron Paul, who said he has his eye on a four-pane piece that shows a hand inserting an earplug into an ear. “So beautiful my friend,” Aaron wrote. “I call the earplug one.” The “False Positive” star thanked Aaron, responding, “top man you are Aaron…as ever, ☘️❤️.” Although the upcoming show will be his first, Pierce, 68, famously sold a painting he created of Bob Dylan for $1.4 million at a 2018 amFAR charity gala. JK Rowling responds to Twitter death threat
JK Rowling is firing back at Twitter trolls after receiving what she says is just one of many death threats. The “Harry Potter” author, whose stance on gender identity has sparked widespread backlash among the trans community, resurfaced on social media late last week with praise for Milli Hill, an author and women’s childbirth rights advocate who aligns herself with JK on topics related to gender and sex. A few days later, JK shared a screenshot of a tweet aimed her way that read, “I wish you a very nice pipebomb in mailbox.” The threat was a reply to someone who’d defended the author and her views, according to the Daily Mail. Retweeting, JK teased the person — whose account has since been suspended — by noting that her haters have already exhausted all other options for bringing her down. “To be fair,” she wrote, “when you can’t get a woman sacked, arrested or dropped by her publisher, and cancelling her only made her book sales go up, there’s really only one place to go.” A couple of hours later, another user asked, “is this still because of [JK’s] comments about the safety of women in women’s toilets / changing rooms if men can use them by simply saying they identify as a woman?” JK replied: “Yes, but now hundreds of trans activists have threatened to beat, rape, assassinate and bomb me I’ve realised that this movement poses no risk to women whatsoever.” The posts sparked a mix of support and backlash, and a number of calls for Twitter to make the platform safer by refsing to allow users to post anonymously.
