Jess Wright has spoken out on a “scary” time for her family after her nephew was born prematurely.
The former TOWIE star, 37, took to Instagram to share the news that her brother Josh Wright and his wife Hollie Kane welcomed a baby boy into the world 12 weeks early, sharing a photo of her tiny nephew in an incubator.
The photo shows mum and dad’s hands resting on the newborn’s head as he sleeps peacefully, with the couple’s caption revealing the baby was born on 11 February weighing 2.4lbs.
Sharing the photo to her Instagram story, Jess added her own well wishes as she opened up on what has been a difficult few weeks for her family.
Above the photo, Jess wrote: “Terribly scary few weeks when this little darling entered the world 12 weeks early but he is fighting strong & I can’t wait to meet my new baby nephew boy please god very soon.”
She then added: “Auntie loves you beyond words already, just like she does your big brother. See you soon little man.”
It’s Jess’ brother Josh and wife Hollie’s second baby, as the couple welcomed another boy in February last year.
Introducing their newborn in a sweet post, the couple thanked their medical team and spoke about their “scary and emotional” past few weeks.
Josh and Hollie penned: “The past two weeks have been manic to say the least along with being very scary and emotional but all we can hope for is our ray of sunshine keeps improving and getting stronger ready to come home in the next couple of months please god.
“Our baby boy is looking healthy and we simply couldn’t love him anymore already.
“To our family, friends and loved ones that have been by our side you know you mean the world to us and we can’t wait until you get to meet him.”
They added: “Life throws up the unexpected and can be difficult at times but as they say remember there will always be a happy ending if you are willing to fight for it and he certainly seems to be a fighter…. You’ve got this son.”
“Ps your big brother is waiting for you.”
Jess Wright is auntie to both her brother Josh’s two boys and became a first time mum herself last year, when she welcomed a baby boy called Presley with her husband William Lee-Kemp.
Jess, whose other brother is reality star Mark Wright, has been candid about some of the difficulties that come with being a new mum and last year shared that she had suffered from postnatal depression after her son’s birth.
Opening up to OK! in November 2022 , Jess confessed that she went through “a whole new level of lowness,” describing how it was important to her to use her platform to share her experience.
The star told us: "It’s incredibly important to talk about it because when you see someone else is suffering, it makes you feel you’re not abnormal.
"And it’s good for us to do it in the public eye because we’ve got such a big outreach – we can express it to so many people and they can feel like they’re not alone."
