Geordie Shore’s Holly Hagan breaks pregnancy news to Charlotte Crosby in heartwarming moment

Holly Hagan-Blyth has revealed the heartwarming moment she broke her pregnancy news to co-star and best friend Charlotte Crosby.

The Geordie Shore star is 18 weeks pregnant with her footballer husband Jacob, with the pair sharing their joy with immediate family before driving to Charlotte straight after as a priority.

Holly and Charlotte – who gave birth to her first child, daughter Alba Jean with boyfriend Jake Ankers in October – have remained close ever since joining Geordie Shore’s original line-up in 2011, when they were catapulted into the limelight alongside stars including Gaz Beadle and Vicky Pattison. Charlotte was even bridesmaid for Holly alongside co-star Sophie Kasaei when she wed Jacob in a stunning Ibiza ceremony in June.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Holly said: "I got Charlotte’s daughter this teddy with a card that read, ‘Alba Jean, I didn’t know what to get you but I thought you could do with a best friend. Charlotte thought the best friend was the teddy but then on the teddy it said, ‘Alba Jean, your bestie is on the way – I can’t wait to meet you in 2023.’

“She and Jake were so shocked and overjoyed. It’s weird because I thought it would be strange seeing Charlotte with a child but it’s the most normal thing in the world. Alba’s gorgeous! She’s the first baby Jacob has ever held.”

The couple also confided in Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson, who is mum to Oax and Rox with fiancé Casey Johnson, after she guessed that Holly was pregnant by seeing her ‘glow’ in photos.

Holly added: “I FaceTimed Marnie, because she guessed I was pregnant, and held the scan up. She was over the moon for us and has offered to send us all of Rox and Oax’s baby clothes. I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to tell Sophie [Kasaei] face to face.”

Holly and Jacob discovered they were expecting in September after three months of trying. As Holly enters the second trimester, aside from a bit of fatigue and nausea, she is feeling relieved that her pregnancy has gone smoother than expected, especially as she saw firsthand the hard time Charlotte had.

She said: “Charlotte’s pregnancy was really difficult, which is probably the thing that scared me the most,” admits Holly. “She was constantly throwing up and had a really bad time, but since she’s become a mum it’s been absolutely amazing.

“I haven’t thrown up once, but I was really anxious the first couple of weeks. In those early stages, you don’t know if you’re going to have a miscarriage."
