Strictly: Denise Van Outen on turning down role
Denise Van Outen has broken her silence after her ex-fiance, Eddie Boxshall appeared to take a brutal swipe at her recent break-up.
The 49-year-old recently confirmed she’d split with her boyfriend Jimmy Barba, who she was with for a year and a half.
Although the TV presenter claimed they have remained great friends, it looks as though the same can’t be said about her ex-fiance Eddie.
In a now-deleted Tweet, Eddie seemed to take a swipe at Denise being single again.
As reported by the Daily Mirror, Eddie shared a clip of Queen’s song Another One Bites the Dust, along with the caption: “Next please…..”

However, this doesn’t appear to be the first time Eddie has taken a jibe at Denise after he shared an image of himself with his new girlfriend on social media.
In August, he captioned a post for the Bank Boliday which was followed by the hashtags #shhhthereyougo #idontdohating #thankstothenicepeople #happy”.
One person commented: “Anyone going to state the obvious?”
As Eddie quipped back: “Yeah, I’m happier than I’ve ever been… Well spotted.”

However, it seems that Eddie’s subtle digs aren’t phasing Denise as the star shared a snap on her Instagram of a gig she was performing at.
Putting her relationship worries aside, the 49-year-old was all smiles on Saturday as she donned a sequin top, leather trousers and platform boots.
Along with a series of images, she captioned the post: “DJ set @sofitellondon5 Terminal 5 (Heathrow) private function. Thanks @eventsincltd @pioneerdjglobal @nosiykitchenhq.”
It wasn’t long before fans took to the comment section to praise Denise for how “fantastic” she looked.
Denise and Eddie were together for seven years before calling it a day on their relationship last year.
At the time, it was reported Eddie confessed to sending up to 20 sex messages to other females without Denise’s knowledge.
Speaking about their break up, the West End star told Ok! Magazine there wasn’t any way to salvage their relationship.
She said: “I’ve got too much self-respect and I just can’t live like that. I felt like, in a few selfish moments, he’d ruined it. I couldn’t imagine it ever feeling the same.”
