Death in Paradise star Josphine Jobert has admitted it was “time to let go” as she discussed her reason for leaving the show. This came as she was quizzed on whether she got along with her co-star Ralf Little.
Posting on Saturday, the Florence Cassell star shared a video commemorating her time on the show.
She penned a lengthy post about how special the show was to her alongside the clip.
However, one fan was left concerned as Neville Parker star Ralf Little did not appear much in the video.
User Avajon83 wrote in the comments: “I hope you didnt leave because you didnt get on with Ralph? (sic)
“Hes the only one out of the main cast who hasnt got a mention on any of your videos and you dont follow each other so I assume youre not friends. (sic)
“Good acting though it seemed that you really felt for each other.”
Josephine was quick to correct the viewer as she shared the real reason for her exit.
Replying to the comment, the actor wrote: “I left mainly because I had done my time the show after so long.
“I needed to let Florence go :-).”
In her post, Josephine wrote how the montage video was to “celebrate and highlight all the wonderful people” she worked with.
Writing in view of her 101,000 followers, she penned: “This montage is to celebrate and highlight all the wonderful people I worked with on this show and to remember all the good times we spent together.
“I obviously couldn’t put everything / everybody and I had to synthesize as much as possible because the video would have lasted too long, but I wanted to share with you the good memories that will remain forever in my heart. (sic)
“During the past two years, I have rediscovered myself as a woman and a person evolving in this industry.
“I learned so much about myself, others, my job, its good and « less good » sides.
“I grew up, I’m stronger. Thanks to all these beautiful souls that I met and who gave me so much love and support.”
Josephine then ended her post with a poignant message to her colleagues.
She added: “I love you with all my heart and I will be forever grateful to you.”
The actress bid farewell to her role two weeks ago after Florence was caught in a mission gone wrong.
The character had been sent to Jamaica but soon found herself having to flee the Caribbean.
In an emotional goodbye, she hugged her fellow police officers and left Saint Marie.
