‘Today we celebrate you’: David Beckham takes a trip down memory lane with a slew of sweet snaps as he and wife Victoria lead the stars celebrating International Women’s Day

David and Victoria Beckham took to social media on Wednesday morning as they joined the number of stars celebrating International Women’s Day – including Amanda Holden, Katie Price and Tess Daly.

The former footballer, 47, used the opportunity to share a collection of snaps while paying sweet tribute to all the women in his life for the global holiday.

Penning ‘today we celebrate you’, he gushed over his pride for wife Victoria and their daughter Harper Seven, 11, with an adorable picture of the pair rubbing noses.

While the dad-of-four also shouted out his two sisters, Lynne and Joanne, mother Sandra and mother-in-law Jackie Adams.

Following suit of her husband, Victoria shared a post specifically for her daughter as she gave an insight into family life – showing a more natural side with the shots.

For the first picture, the fashion designer sported a face mask while lying in bed and cuddling daughter Harper.

While another was from this week as the duo celebrated Paris Fashion Week together.

‘Happy International Women’s Day!! Love you so much #HarperSeven xx,’ wrote Victoria.

While her husband took a trip down memory lane with a mixture of recent and childhood pictures alongside his family.

Looking unrecognisable in one picture, a young David beamed alongside his two sisters. While another showed him celebrating a football win with mum Sandra circa 2000.

He wrote:  ‘On this International women’s day I want to celebrate the amazing women in my life who inspire me with their work ethic, loyalty, kindness and love for their families…♥️

Amanda Holden also shared her gratitude for all the women in her life while celebrating the day – posting a video montage of pictures.

The clip featured her two daughters Lexi and Hollie, sister Debbie and a number of familiar faces such as pals Alesha Dixon, Ashley Roberts Sarah Parish and Angela Griffin.

Lifting up her fellow women in the inspirational post, Amanda wrote: ‘It takes a village doesn’t it? To get through life you need help and love and great people to lift you and sometimes shove a glass of wine in your hand! I feel very lucky and grateful to be surrounded by these incredibly defiant , fabulous women ! 

‘I admire them all so much and over the years stood in awe of their achievements! The advice, care and support as well as the endless laughs are something I can’t live without. Side by side. While Ashley also posted some inspirational quotes to her Stories, praising the strength of women. 

Katie Price also put together a video montage while celebrating the women in her family, including daughers Princess and Bunny and sister Sophie.

She also shared a picture of her mum Amy, who suffers from terminal lung condition idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis 

Joining the bandwagon was Tess Daly, who shared an image of a quote from American feminist and playwright Ntozake Shange.

Saluting girls around the world, the Strictly Come Dancing presenter dubbed women ‘real life superheroes’ while shouting out her family.
