Sue Cleaver ‘mortified’ over STI mix-up
Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver was left red-faced today after a hilarious mix-up on her trip to the pharmacy.
The 60-year-old actress, who has played Eileen Grimshaw on the ITV soap since 2000, opened up about the embarrassing experience on Instagram today.
In a video addressed to her 149,000 followers, she said: “Can’t believe I’m actually sharing this…
“I had to go to the pharmacy and it was busy and there was quite a queue behind me,” she recalled.
“And I went up to the counter and I said: ‘Morning love. Have you got anything for an STI?

“‘I’m just starting with one,’” she continued, before bursting out laughing.
“What I meant to say was, ‘Have you got anything for UTI? Because I’m just starting one.’”
“Oh my god,” a mortified Sue added as she got a fit of the giggles again. “I don’t know why I said it.

“My hand’s shaking as I’m holding this,” she added in reference to the phone with which she recorded the update.
She then went on to warn her fans: “Don’t get your letters mixed up when you need some medication!”
“Can’t quite believe I’ve posted this,” Sue added in the caption with a selection of laughing and face-palm emojis.
“DON’T get your alphabet mixed up… MORTIFIED…” (sic)
Sue’s followers were left in stitches, as they took to the comments section to join in on the fun.
