Carol Vorderman taken aback as TOWIE hunk ‘wants to be one of her men’

Carol Vorderman stunned as TOWIE hunk ‘wants to be special friend’

Carol Vorderman, 62, was left taken aback when one of her This Morning colleagues informed her she had attracted hunky TOWIE star Pete Wicks, 35.

The I’m A Celebrity…South Africa contestant was chatting to presenter Holly Jay-Smith behind-the-scenes at ITV, when she brought up her surprising new admirer.

Carol, who has spoken openly about seeing five “special friends” romantically, instead of getting into a serious relationship, was quizzed on whether she knew who Pete is.

Holly asked in the cheeky Instagram video, “do you know who Pete Wicks is?”, before Carol replied that she was aware of the reality TV star.

The presenter then informed Carol that Pete had admitted he fancies her during a chat on his Staying Relevant podcast, alongside Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson.

Holly revealed while showing Carol a photo of Pete on her phone: “So basically, he’s gone on a podcast and he said he wants to be one of your men.”

Carol seemed stunned as she gasped and giggled, before asking Holly to show her the snap of Pete again, so she could take another look at him.

The Countdown legend nodded to show her approval, before she asked Holly: “Is that official now?”

Holly replied: “Well, you’ve got to start following him [on Instagram] at least.

“Because they said it on their podcast that he’d like to be one of your men.

“So we were in makeup pulling up the picture, and they were like, ‘yes!’”

“One of my special friends? That’s hilarious,” Carol exclaimed enthusiastically.

It wasn’t long before Pete responded to the video with a flirty message for Carol.

Sharing the clip in view of his 1.4 million Instagram followers, Pete suggestively wrote across the video: “Ready when you are Carol…”

It comes after Carol recently said that in her sixties, “the goal of my life is to be happy, not to be in love”.

The star is seeing five men, who are all single, with Carol admitting she wouldn’t be bothered if any of them meet someone else.

She told Daily Mail’s You Magazine: “I’m continuing with that system and it’s working very well.”

Carol even revealed her children know most of her “special friends”.

The twice-divorced TV legend shares her two children with ex-husband Patrick King, whom she was married to for 10 years before their split in 2000.

“One’s been a friend for 11 years, one for seven. My kids know most of them,” she added.
