After his father Kevin Federline claimed that the pop star has not seen her two children for months, Jayden shares his hope for his mother to get ‘better mentally.’
AceShowbiz –Britney Spears‘ son has finally spoken up on his relationship drama with the singer. Sitting down with filmmaker Daphne Barak for an interview that will air this Friday, September 2, Jayden shares his side of the story about their fractured relationship.
“I 100% think this can be fixed,” the 15-year-old says, per the Daily Mail. Remaining hopeful that they will patch things up one day, he shares, “It’s just going to take a lot of time and effort. I just want her to get better mentally. When she gets better I really want to see her again.”
Addressing his mother, Jayden adds, “I love you a lot, I hope for the best for you. Maybe one day we can sit down like this and talk again.”
Jayden assures that he has “no hate” for his mother despite his and his brother Sean Preston’s absence from Britney’s wedding to Sam Asghari in June. As for the reason why they skipped their mother’s big day, Jayden explains, “At the time it just wasn’t a good time to go. I’m not saying that I’m not happy for her. I’m really happy for them, but she didn’t invite the whole family and then if it was just going to be me and Preston, I just don’t see how that situation would have ended on good terms.”
Jayden, who is the second child of Britney and her ex-husband Kevin Federline, says he and his brother Preston always look after each other. “Preston and I are very united. He is always looking out for me and I am looking out for him. We make sure that we are both healthy mentally,” he says of how they have been supporting each other.
Jayden also defends Britney’s father Jamie Spears, believing that he “doesn’t deserve all the hatred he is getting in the media.” He says, “I love him, with all my heart. He was just trying to be a father.”
The teen regrets having arguments with his grandfather as saying, “Looking back, I regret saying all kinds of things. I really feel bad. Preston and I feel bad. We want to see him. I want to see him, sit with him next to the piano, talk about my future.”
Giving his two cents on how things turned sour between Britney and her father, Jayden opines, “At first he was just trying to be like any father letting her pursue her daughter’s dream of becoming a superstar but I did think maybe the conservatorship went on too long, probably why my Mum was very angry about the whole situation that she was working for too long and I personally think she was. She should have taken a break and relaxed.”
Jayden also talks about how his older brother Sean couldn’t come into agreement with their mother about social media. He says his sibling is not a fan of the cameras and asked Britney not to post pictures of him online, but she did it anyway and “it didn’t go well.”
He speaks of his mother’s obsession with social media. “Social media helps her,” he claims. “So if that’s what she wants to do that’s what she wants to do, I’m not going to hate her for that. At the same time, she should come to the realization of whatever it is that stops her loving her family.”
“It’s almost like she has to post something on Instagram to get some attention,” Jayden continues of his mom’s habit. “This has gone on for years and years and years and there’s a high chance that this will never stop but I’m hoping for me that she will stop.”
Jayden admits that during his childhood her mother has “treated me better” than his brother Sean. “I think Mom has struggled giving us both attention and showing us equal love & I don’t think she showed enough to Preston and I feel really bad for that,” he shares. “We’ve both been through so much pressure in the past that this is our safe place now, to process all the emotional trauma we’ve been through to heal, heal our mental state.”
