Victoria Coren Mitchell has given birth to her second child.
The 51-year-old, who is married to actor and comedian David Mitchell, announced the happy news on X, formerly Twitter.
Taking to the micro-blogging site, she told her 696,000 followers: “Many people are assuming my tweet yesterday was a Halloween costume.
“Not at all; last week I had a baby and nothing currently fits me except cloaks. Luckily, Only Connect is a pre-record. Happy All Saints Day!”

The BBC host reportedly welcomed a baby girl with news also being confirmed in The Times.
Victoria and David are already parents to daughter Barbara who was born in May 2015 and is now eight years old.
Victoria, who is also a professional poker player, met her husband at a film premiere in 2007 – and they married in 2012.
David is the popular star of Channel 4 cult hit Peep Show and BBC period comedy Upstart Crow, but is arguably best known as a team captain on the hugely popular BBC One comedy panel show Would I Lie To You?.
David and Victoria have been married for more than a decade and it was love at first sight for the happy couple.
Introduced to one another by fellow comedian David Baddiel, at the same film premiere in 2007, Victoria said: “He specifically said to me, ‘There’s David Mitchell over there, I think you should probably marry him, I’ll get the ball rolling by introducing you. I thought that was ridiculous but, a couple of hours later, I thought I would probably marry him.”
The comedian later told the Guardian: “I waited three years. Isn’t that weird? Aren’t I odd? I can’t explain it other than to say I couldn’t do anything else. If only I’d known I just had to wait three years… I would gladly have suffered 10 times as much.”
Two years later the pair tied the knot with David admitting he would have proposed even sooner if it hadn’t seemed “mad” to do so quite so quickly.
