Amid their custody battle, Andrew previously accused the ‘Teen Mom’ star, who shares a son with him, in a court filing of using drugs when she was pregnant with their child.
AceShowbiz –Amber Portwood has responded to her ex Andrew Glennon claiming that she used drugs while she was pregnant with their child, James. A day after Andrew made such allegations in a court filing, the “Teen Mom” star filed an objection.
The “16 and Pregnant” alum shared that she underwent regular drug testing while she’s on probation from her 2019 domestic battery case. “Mother denies adamantly the allegations made in Father’s Motion and believes that a hair follicle test is unnecessary due to her history of negative drug screens and continued requirement to submit to same,” Amber said in her response, according to The Sun.
The docs went on to claim, “Mother further states that Father’s Motion is nothing more than yet another attempt to paint Mother in a negative light.”
Amid their custody battle, Andrew previously accused Amber of of using drugs when she was pregnant with their child. He noted that the reality TV star has “history of substance abuse, even while pregnant with and subsequently caring for the minor child herein.” Andrew also said that she seemed “paranoid and disheveled” at an October 16 parenting exchange.
According to Andrew, Amber said that two nearby cars were “staking her out” and asking him to tell the people in the vehicles to stop. “[Amber] went so far as to allege that two nearby vehicles were ‘taking her out’ and waved down Petitioner/Father as he was leaving with the minor child to ask him to tell the individuals in the nearby vehicles to ‘stop’ staking her out,” the docs read.
In addition, the California-based father alleged that he “witnessed Amber under the influence of illegal drugs previously, specifically methamphetamine.” He demanded that Amber takes a hair follicle test.
Amber and Andrew didn’t have the best relationship following their split in 2019. She was arrested in July 2019 for allegedly attacking him with a machete. The MTV personality was charged with domestic battery, criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon and domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old.
She pleaded guilty to the crime in October of the same year. She was sentenced to probation and ordered to attend parenting classes.
