“Snack lady” on the loose! Jennifer Garner, who is known for sharing her adorable Pretend Cooking Show videos on social media, took to Instagram on Monday, August 31, to post a slightly different type of clip.
Jennifer Garner Hilariously Teaches Daughter’s Classmates Colonial History
The video, which is nearly a minute long, is actually a homemade ad for the 48-year-old’s Once Upon a Farm brand, which sells nutritious smoothie pouches for kids and babies.
At the start of the spot, the Camping alum frantically runs around the kitchen of her California home before a scheduled conference call as her children with ex-husband Ben Affleck — son Samuel, 8, and daughters Seraphina, 11, and Violet, 14 — yell for some snacks off-camera.
After struggling to prepare some hearty green smoothies for the trio, Garner opts to try things “another way” and reached into her refrigerator for a few cold-pressed smoothie pouches from Once Upon a Farm to give to her brood. She also gave the kiddos crackers from Pip Snacks and gluten-free cookies from Partake Foods.

“Whatever Back-to-School means for you this year — it’s here!” the Alias alum wrote in the caption. “If you’ve been hired to teach Reading, Writing and ’Rithmatic 😬 — let us make your job as Snack Lady a whole lot easier — with homemade tasting deliciousness and without added sugar. We play well with others (hello, @pipsnacks & @partakefoods 🤗) or we’re happy on our own.”
The Peppermint star added: “If my house is any indication, you are busy, Mamas! — and we are here to help. ❤️🧡💛 @onceuponafarm 💚💙💜.” Garner also included the apropos hashtag, “The juggle is real.”

In July, Garner got emotional when she discussed homeschooling her children amid the coronavirus pandemic. “I am really thinking about my kids and what their experience is going to be,” she told Dr. Chelsea Jackson Roberts during a July 21 Instagram Live video. “They’re so lucky … We have broadband, we have excellent teachers who can teach over Zoom — that is one in a million possibility in this world — and yet, it’s also a depressing one.”
The 13 Going on 30 star asked the yoga and meditation instructor: “What is this year full of transitions gonna look like for kids, for my family? How can I keep joy in learning for them or help them just continue to find their resilience? That’s where I am today.”
Despite the understandable uncertainty, the Golden Globe winner spoke last month about how she reads “like crazy” with each of her children every night. When one of her daughters stopped wanting to read with her, Garner found new ways to connect with the little one.
“When this [pandemic] all started, it just didn’t feel good to her,” she told Dr. Aliza Pressman on the August 28 episode of Dear Media network’s “Raising Good Humans” podcast. “We have been sneaking and watching America’s Funniest Home videos on my phone. I even watched Austin Powers with her.”

While the Elektra star admitted she’s “not very proud of” her television time, she loves seeing her daughter “laugh.” Garner, who also said meditation has been helpful for her kids, told Pressman: “We just have to remind our bodies of how to have joy, and I’m just letting it happen. She’s reading to herself … It’s always been one of our main forms of connection, and I’m just letting it go right now and hoping that it’ll resolve.”
