It’s the return of the scrotum pole.
Just days after a giant penis sculpture vanished from a German mountainside, a similarly phallic structure surfaced at the same site Thursday.
The raunchy replacement, located near Kempten, Bavaria, includes a major wood statue of male nether regions propped up with beams, the Associated Press reported. It’s unclear who is responsible for the res-erection, which is even taller than its predecessor.
The erectile escapades began several years ago, when a nearly 7-foot-high phallus mysteriously appeared on Gruenten Mountain in southern Germany.
That mammoth member was reportedly concocted as a joke gift for a young man whose family didn’t like the present. As a result, they had the 440-pound sculpture hauled up the mountain and abandoned there.
Go figure: The dirty doppelgänger quickly became a destination for hikers and was even classified as a “cultural monument” on Google Maps.
Unfortunately, the penile pilgrimages were cut short after the sculpture was surreptitiously removed recently, with a pile of sawdust left behind.
The German news agency dpa reported that the Kempten police are currently probing the statue’s disappearance, although they’re unsure if the removal constitutes a crime.
No word as to whether people are clamoring to witness its second coming.
