People Keep Telling Robert Pattinson That He Smells Like Crayons

Former vampire and current caped crusader Robert Pattinson sat down with Allure and revealed that people are obviously over asking him about body glitter and have moved on to inquiring about his natural musk. That natural aroma, it turns out, is akin to waxy crayons. Being that he's the face of the fragrance Dior Homme, fans would expect him to smell like that particular concoction, but it's not the case. Maybe, as the interview revealed, it's because he doesn't actually wear Dior Homme

"Lots of people tell me I smell like a crayon," he said.

Anyone who's familiar with the smell of crayons can probably pick up the notes immediately. Wax, sure, but there's more. The Cut notes that one of the ingredients in crayons is actually beef fat, whis is how crayons get their distinctive waxy, slippy texture. It could also be what people pick up when they smell Pattinson, who says that he's gotten been told that he smells like he's "made of wax" and that it's "like I'm embalmed."

And why doesn't he just cover that up with Dior Homme? He answered that, too, saying that sometimes, there can be too much of a good thing when it comes to fragrance.

"I hardly ever wear fragrances," he added. "If I wear a fragrance, I find it quite overbearing."

Pattinson's crayon confession is just the latest insight into celebrities and their natural aromas. Reports have emerged that Harry Styles smells like Joan Didion’s house and Kacey Musgraves told New York Magazine that she smells like a baby.
