A TikTok video has got the internet stumped, with people confused as to whether a jacket is real or CGI.
The video, uploaded by user courtney.r1, shows her dancing to a slowed down version of Blackbear’s song Dirty Laundry.
Courtney is wearing a grey jacket, the reflection of which makes it seem like it’s added in using editing software.
The TikTok has now been watched over 6.6 million times, with people from across the world commenting on it because of the coat.
One person wrote, ‘Why does her coat look animated’, while another said, ‘Your jacket still not done loading?’
Another wrote, ‘She really photoshopped a jacket in’, while one more chimed in, ‘Jacket made of the same material as the cloak from Harry Potter.’
Courtney explained in her bio that the coat is from Lexi Fashion. It costs £29.99, and looks plain grey in daylight.
In darker light, though, the reflective cropped puffer shines bright against any light giving it this green screen effect.
You can see it in a different TikTok by Courtney from September, where the light doesn’t appear to be shining off it and it looks less animated.
It’s not a completely wild assertion to assume it might not be a real coat, either. CGI ‘influencers’ like Lil Miquela hit Instragram a few years back, wearing photoshopped designer clothes and posing in pictures with friends and pets… despite being completely computer generated.
Basically, nothing can be trusted, and we’ve been burned before by #TheDress – so it makes sense to be wary.
